Unlike a most technology consultancies our engagements typically involve technology projects that fall outside of industry norms. This is because we specialize in 'putting things right', innovation or technically challenging projects. Examples of this include project recovery, delivering complex 'just enough' type solutions or utilization of technologies outside of the usual consulting repertoire.
We're also strongly focused on delivering 'no frills' solutions that deliver to expectation with minimum overhead. To achieve this we employ agile methodology, but with a heavy focus on delivery based on maximizing financial benefits to the business. We back this up with frequent demonstration of work to the business in lieu of heavy documentation. This enables early implementation and realization of benefits as well as a pivot if required.
Our engagements normally take the form of technology stewardship on either a project or strategic advisory level. This ranges from providing advice to management or review of troubled projects, developing technology strategy or taking full ownership of complex applications development projects. Engagements we have undertaken in the past include TV set top box applications development for a New Zealand startup, advising to Government and project recovery of a GSM mobile network roll-out in Asia.
