Much of the company's scheduling knowledge lived in experienced people's heads, and generic software didn't reflect how its operation works.
What we did
- Captured the company's domain knowledge in a business brain, asking questions back in rounds, each with a recommendation.
- Routed judgement calls to the right person through Askance, so the build never waited on an answer.
- Built a machinery scheduling tool and an Azure deployment pattern with an AI-based development process.
Why knowing the business mattered
The scheduling rules that matter are the exceptions experienced staff carry in their heads. Capturing them first is what lets the software schedule the way this company works.
Outcome
The company's scheduling knowledge now sits in a business brain it owns, and the machinery scheduling tool is built on that knowledge rather than on generic assumptions.
