Challenge

The 3G rollout across the state had fallen behind schedule. The project team was running it as a hardware and infrastructure job, but many of the delays came from software development and integration at a scale the plan hadn't allowed for.

What we did

  • Reviewed the project's KPIs, budget, timelines and delivery processes.
  • Showed executive management which problems were software problems, and why that changed the fix.
  • Brought in testing and scaling strategies, quality metrics and clear reporting on the integration and software work.

Outcome

Once the software work was visible and measured, the issues could be dealt with, and the rollout was brought back on track.
